INSTRUCTIONAL NAVY – Ages 6-7

Brief overview of Instructional Navy league (traditional coach pitch/player pitching):

• Game play will be 6 innings or 90-minute games, whichever comes first.
• During coach-pitch, coaches should use their best judgment. A batter should not be penalized for poor coach pitch. If the coach throws 3 strikes and the batter does not swing, they will be deemed out. If the batter has strikes already on their count, they will continue that at-bat until the ball is put in play or the batter strikes out.
• It is recommended that all 6-year-olds and most 7-year-olds play in Navy.
• Players with little to no exposure to kid-pitch get the opportunity to become comfortable facing player-pitch against peers.
• Scores are kept, but skill development, good sportsmanship, and fun are the driving forces of our league.
• There will be playoffs and a championship team crowned.
• USSSA, WOOD, and USA bats are allowed.
• 10 games plus playoffs.

INSTRUCTIONAL ORANGE – Age 8

• Game play will be 6 innings or no new inning after 1 hour and 40 minutes, whichever comes first.
• All innings will be played as player-pitch.
• Games will feature official Umpires.
• Recommended for 8-year-olds who have played several seasons of house or travel. Note: An evaluation may be required for any 7-year-old wishing to play up to Instructional Orange.
• There will be playoffs and a championship team crowned.
• USSSA, WOOD, and USA bats are allowed.
• No base stealing allowed.
• 10 games plus playoffs.
• No play-up requests to the Minors division are accepted.

MINORS – Ages 9-10

• 46’ mound; 60‘ bases.
• Base stealing is allowed.
• All players MUST enter a league draft.
• 10 games plus playoffs.
• USSSA, WOOD, and USA bats allowed.
• No play-up requests to the Majors division are accepted.
• No full teams are allowed to register; all teams are selected by a coaches' draft process.
• There will be no same-team teammate requests accepted at this level.

MAJORS – Ages 11-12

This league is for players who are 11-12 years old. Our Westmont Fall Ball program is highly competitive, featuring players from surrounding villages and travel teams.

• USSSA, WOOD, and USA bats allowed.
• 50’ mound; 70‘ bases, with leadoffs.
• 10 games plus playoffs.
• No play-up requests to the Juniors division are accepted.
• No full teams are allowed to register; all teams are selected by a coaches' draft process.
• There will be no same-team teammate requests accepted at this level.

JUNIORS – Ages 13-15

• 10 games plus playoffs.
• USSSA, USA, BBCOR, and WOOD bats are allowed.
• 60.6’ mound; 90’ bases.
• No full teams are allowed to register; all teams are selected by a coaches' draft process.
• There will be no same-team teammate requests accepted at this level.
